As of the end of November 2023, Vietnam exported 9,548 tons of chili, with a total export turnover of 18.6 million USD. Compared to the same period last year, the export volume increased by 119.1%. China and Laos were the two main export markets for Vietnamese chili, accounting for 86.2% and 9.8%, equivalent to 8,230 tons and 932 tons, respectively.
Cumulatively from January 1 to November 30, 2023, Vietnam exported 81,940 tons of cinnamon, with a total export turnover of 239.9 million USD, an increase of 17.3% in volume but a 2.0% decrease in value compared to the same period last year. The main export markets for Vietnamese cinnamon included India, reaching 35,675 tons (43.5% market share, up 20.6%), the United States with 9,050 tons (up 7.5%), and Bangladesh with 4,952 tons (up 23.8%).
By the end of November 2023, Vietnam had imported 14,644 tons of cinnamon, with a total turnover of 37.1 million USD. Compared to the same period last year, the import volume decreased by 17.6%. China and Indonesia were the two main suppliers of cinnamon to Vietnam, accounting for 81.7% and 12.3%, respectively.
Cumulatively from January 1 to November 30, 2023, Vietnam exported 15,054 tons of Star Anise, with a total export turnover of 78.1 million USD. Compared to the same period last year, the export volume increased by 29.0%. India and China were the two main export markets for Vietnamese Star Anise, accounting for 49.4% and 25.1%, respectively.
